Sientra, a developer of breast implants, has appointed Andy Schmidt chief financial officer (CFO).
Schmidt, who will oversee all financial operations of the company, has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience and has successfully directed the financial, M & A and capital market strategies of numerous publicly held companies. Most recently, he served as the CFO of Guardion Health Sciences, where he was part of a team that raised $35 million and also restored the company's Nasdaq listing compliance. He also served as the CFO of Iteris. Prior, he was the CFO of Smith Micro Software and Genius Products. Earlier, he served in financial leadership roles with Peregrine Systems and Mad Catz Interactive.
