The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the PiQo4 (Zarin Medical) for tattoo removal as well as the treatment of pigmented lesions, melasma and seborrheic keratosis.
The system, designed and manufactured by Focus Medical, is unique in that it features four wavelengths—1064nm, 532nm, 650nm and 585nm—and offers up to 2,000mJ in a single pulse as well as spot sizes up to 15mm. The PiQo4 includes a Q-Switch mode, providing multiple options for picosecond and nanosecond pulse durations, and can treat all tattoo colors.
