Modernizing Medicine, a provider a specialty-specific, data-driven and cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) systems, is launching two new initiatives to better support providers and patients. The company is now working with OptimizeRX, which notifies healthcare providers (HCPs) of potential prescription savings and support information for their patients, and Xcertia, a collaborative dedicated to improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of mobile health applications, or apps.
OptimizeRx’s growing EHR and eRx network now reaches more than 500,000 HCPs in the U.S., making it the healthcare industry’s largest point-of-prescribe network. “As a leader in specialty-specific EHR systems for thousands of HCPs, and consistently named a top-ranked EHR vendor, Modernizing Medicine further strengthens our network,” said Miriam Paramore, president of OptimizeRx. “We look forward to delivering our services through the interface with Modernizing Medicine’s award-winning EHR systems.”
As a member of Xcertia, Modernizing Medicine will collaborate with other leading healthcare organizations, including the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Medical Association (AMA), DHX Group and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), to help ensure mHealth apps are safe and effective for consumers and have the confidence of physicians recommending them.
