The closing date of the L’Oréal International Awards for Social Responsibility in Dermatology has been extended to April 15, 2015.
The Awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts and hard work carried out by dermatologists worldwide, including voluntary dermatological initiatives that improve patients’ health as well as self-esteem, independent of their medical treatment. An independent steering committee of seven world-renowned dermatologists will evaluate each initiative and select five winners, one for each major geographical zone: Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Central-South America. Supported by the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and the World Congress of Dermatology, the awards ceremony will be held at the 23rd World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, Canada, on June 9, 2015.
Applications are being accepted from dermatologists working independently, with an organization or hospital, or involved in a volunteering initiative that fall into one of three categories: Prevention and Education; Improved Quality of Life and Self-Esteem; and Access to Care, Coverage and Surgery.
