Aesthetic device manufacturer The Hydrafacial Company has pivoted its focus to offer its infrastructure, workforce and distribution capabilities to support individuals and healthcare facilities on the front lines of fighting Covid-19. The company is selling and distributing washable masks made of CuTec material—a proprietary copper fiber known to have powerful antimicrobial properties. These medical masks are intended for those working in healthcare, public safety and emergency personnel environments. They are not N95 masks but can be used by people who are not able to self-isolate at this time.
HydraFacial’s engineers and regulatory team also are working with a local Long Beach, California-based company to build ventilators to help with the shortage throughout the United Sates, and providing extra space in their warehouse to help house and develop these life-saving devices.
