The holistic service of face massage isn’t just for relaxation. Through face massage, we can also achieve results for clients such as instant lifting and smoothing, contour of the face, reduction in redness, brighter under-eye area and cleaner pores. In this speaking seminar, different face massage techniques will be shown to use during facials to yield different results. This would be valuable for those who feel like the massage part of their facial treatment is lackluster or not an impactful part of the facial. Face massage is an amazing way to help clients look naturally beautiful in their happy and healthy skin.
2. 4 Natural Beauty Therapies for Glowing, Youthful Skin

- Speaker: Dr. Ahnee Min-Yau, L.Ac., DACM, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist & Founder at Tao Natural Healing: Acupuncture and Natural Medicine
Let’s face it, when it comes to looking young and ageless, people want a quick fix and lasting results for ways to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, frown lines and sagging skin. Each year, millions of people opt for minimally invasive or nonsurgical procedures to alter the appearance of their skin. In 2020, Botox topped the list of cosmetic, minimally invasive procedures with soft tissue filler and chemical peels following behind. In addition, about 13.2 million nonsurgical cosmetic procedures were performed in 2020, compared to 2.3 million cosmetic surgical procedures.
However, we are also seeing an increasing demand for more natural treatments to help women and their skin age gracefully. While botox and fillers are considered less invasive, there’s a trend in women seeking alternative and more holistic therapies free of toxic ingredients and harsh chemicals, even if it takes longer to see results. Post-pandemic, we are also seeing more focus on self-care, cultivating a daily practice for health and wellness that includes skincare rituals that are more natural-based and sustainable. This presentation will unlock the beauty benefits of ancient, East Asian therapies: facial cupping, gua sha, micro-needling and ear seeds!
3. Bringing Back the Body Wrap

The body wrap is back and it provides the body and wellness benefits clients need. In a nutshell, it’s a whole-body treatment, similar to a paraffin body wrap, but it’s coconut and shea, not paraffin or soy. Nihoff will begin with the science behind the wrap’s effect, going over its benefits and contraindications. This demo will include implementing cranial massage, pressure points and facial stones. The feet will be exposed and stones will be used for massage, while pressure points and a reflexology technique are demonstrated. Colorful handouts will be provided as well as hot and cold herbal tea.

“Food nourishes the body, but flowers heal the soul.” - Old Proverb
In many cultures across the world, flowers are one of the most sought-after natural remedies for a variety of ailments—from headaches and digestive problems to anxiety and fatigue—and are often used as essential oils, carrier oils, and even consumed as food. When it comes to skin care, they're not only used as a natural way to add color and fragrance but also valued for their gentle yet potent healing properties that address a host of skin concerns and beauty needs.
Flower extract-based skin care products are gaining popularity as people become more aware of the power of flowers and essential oils. The natural extracts found in flowers contain vitamins and antioxidants that can help keep skin healthy, moisturized, clean and youthful. The easiest way to enjoy the benefits of flowers is with products specially formulated with floral essential oils. Natural brands that use flower extracts are often made using only the highest quality ingredients and are referred to as holistic skin products.
Flower essences are made from the blossoms of flowers that are used therapeutically to improve mood and emotional well-being. The elements of the natural world, specifically the floral aspects of the plant kingdom, offer tremendous versatility to enrich our well-being and holistic health. Essential oils and flower essences encourage our inner beauty to radiate outwardly and illuminate the vibrancy that resides within each and every one of us.
6. Connecting Skin Care and Mindfulness

- Speaker: E'Toshia McFarland, Esthetician & Esthetics Educator at Faces By Etosh
The hustle and bustle of the world can take a toll on a person's mental and physical health. Stress and anxiety can cause the body to release hormones such as cortisol, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. This can cause a person to age faster and be more susceptible to illness and diseases. In addition, the constant pressure to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the world can lead to a lack of sleep, poor dietary choices, and a lack of physical activity, all of which can contribute to premature aging and negative health outcomes. Overall, the constant stress and pressure of modern life can have a significant impact on a person's overall well-being. Let's change the narrative and live longer healthier lives while loving the skin we are in.
