Codex Labs has launched its SGBNET platform, featuring its AI-enabled DermScore tool, which monitors acne lesions, comedones hyperpigmentation. The platform also allows consumers to register their Decode DNA kits and to schedule consultations with genetic counselors.
The kits include the Decode.MySkin DNA Test, which uses qPCR sequencing to assess skin oxidative stress, sensitivity, irritation, oiliness, pimples, pigmentation, sun exposure and general aging, as well as the Decode.MyHealth Vitamin DNA Test, which also uses qPCR sequencing and which assesses the absorption, transport and metabolism of vitamins A through E and the implication for skin conditions.
Kit users receive a 30-minute video or chat consultation with a genetic counsellor to walk through test results in addition to a full report and counsellor notes.
Codex Labs will also work with consumers to generate personalized regimens based on their unique skin conditions.
“At Codex Labs, we believe that the skin-gut-brain axes holds the key to many health issues, and that next generation dermatology will integrate not only topicals and supplements, but diet, lifestyle and mental health," said Barbara Paldus, Ph.D., CEO, Codex Labs. "Our aim with the SGBNET platform is to connect professionals and services with consumers who would otherwise not have access to such care."
Paldus added, “We are delighted to be able to offer state-of-the art DNA testing to complement our DermScore AI Monitoring system to both consumers and practitioners. We believe that data-driven, at-home dermatology represents the future of accessible care to those with skin conditions."
