Tom Rohrer, MD, has been appointed vice president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). Dr. Rohrer is a physician at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and adjunct associate professor of dermatology at Brown University in Rhode Island. He has previously received the 2010 ASDS President’s Award and has been an active member for nearly 20 years.
The ASDS also appointed three new board members: Ashish C. Bhatia, MD, director of dermatology and dermatologic surgery at the Dermatology Institute in Naperville, Illinois; Terrence A. Cronin Jr., MD, medical director of the Cronin Skin Cancer Center in Melbourne, Florida; and Derek H. Jones, MD, founder and medical director of Skin Care and Laser Physicians of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. All three will serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors until 2017.
