Allergan has added two new members to its financial leadership team. Daphne Karydas, senior vice president of corporate financial planning, analysis and strategy, and Manisha Narasimhan, PhD, vice president of investor relations and strategic initiatives.
Narasimhan joins Allergan from Regeneron, where she led the investor relations function. She has extensive industry experience in the biopharmaceutical sector and well-established relationships within the investment community. Previously, she was an equity research analyst at Canaccord Genuity and Piper Jaffray and has also served as a strategy consultant at Campbell Alliance.
Karydas recently served as Allergan’s senior vice president, global investor relations and strategy. Before that time, she was a leading institutional investor and financial analyst in the biopharmaceutical sector with J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
In her new role, Karydas will work with the executive leadership team to develop and execute the company's long-term financial and business strategy. Dr. Narasimhan will lead the company's engagement with the investment community. Both roles will report to Matt Walsh, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
"These changes will enable us to further deepen our focus on the corporate strategic and financial planning functions to realize Allergan's long-term growth potential, while continuing to develop and steward the strong relationships we have established across the financial community," said Walsh.
