Exosomes derived from adipose stem cells have been the focus of a large number studies seeking to improve wound healing, a recent review published in Cell Proliferation reports.

According to the article abstract, in the wound, these exosomes modulate immune responses and inflammation. They also promote angiogenesis, accelerate the proliferation and re‐epithelization of skin cells, and regulate collagen remodeling, which inhibits scar hyperplasia.
